There's a new version of Google Maps called My Location.
Here are 10 facts about it:
1. You won't need GPS to find out where you are much longer.
2. The My Location feature is available for most web-enabled mobile phones.
3. When GPS isn't used, there can be a 10 city block error as to where you are located.
4. To find your location, all you do is press 0 on your cell phone.
5. My Location works when your cell phone is indoors.
6. The result that turns up your location on your cell phone can be up to 10 blocks off.
7. It works in most countries, except Japan and China.
8. The accuracy of My Location is dependent on how many cell phone towers there are in the area.
9. My Location is not compatible with iPhone
10. My Location draws less battery power from your cellular device than a GPS system does.
