First Engadget finds some ads from Japan announcing new Pentax DSLRs and new lenses that fit on them.
Now Pentax confirms they are, indeed, coming out with some new products. One of them is a 14.6 MP dSLR camera, the K20D.
The camera costs $1,299.95 and includes:
a 23.4 x 15.6 MP CMOS sensor with shake and dust reduction images in JPEG and RAW files,
built-in, retractable, pop-up flash,
SD and SDHC removable memory
USB 2.0 high speed and video out ports
100 - 3200 ISO
1/4000 to 30 sec shutter speed
Manual (M), Aperture (A) and Shutter (S) priority modes
Sounds like the camera is similar in price to the Canon 40D (rated 96 at wize.com). The Canon 40D has a slightly smaller sensor and is only 10 MP.
