Engadget announced today that waterproof TVs will be coming to Japan on June 20. The SV-ME75 and SV-ME70 models are tiny, only 5-inches.
Here are the features translated from the Japanese Web site:
"Kitchen or bath with waterproof respond. One-segment broadcast audience, of course, you can enjoy music and photos. Also recorded one-segment broadcasting. At the same location used to listening to more easily employ to achieve a clear sound capability field set."
From what I understand is that they sank the TV in 1-m deep water for 30 minutes and the TV still worked.
They also point out something about using the thing with an AC adapter: "With water it takes place, AC adapter, please do not use."
Oh the confusion you feel when you try to read translated Web sites...
